April Divine
Formed back in 1998 under the name "Starf*ck" in the small town Örnsköldsvik, Sweden (Peter Forsberg). 4 young hungry-for-rock guys blending their different influences such as, Punk, Pop, Grunge, Metal, and Funk, grew up together in the rehearsal studio. The only thing to do in Örnskoldsvik , if your not in to hockey , was to crank the shit out of the Sovtek/Peavy, and beating the hell out of the SONOR.
Soon the buzz got bigger and the gigs, studio time, radio airplay and newspaper coverage came as easy as the songs that kept flying through the bands instruments!
The biggest radio station in Sweden, P3, played Starf*ck numerous of times on the show "P3 Demo", and the band was voted and picked as the best unsigned rock band in Sweden 2002 by the channels listeners. Starf*ck played at the biggest festivals and venues - Storsjöyran, PDOL, RIX FM-Festival in Sweden and just eager to get out and play outside Sweden and meet the rest of the world. With this live experience and tons of songs recorded and their video for the track "Coma", some people in the music industry started to think the same.
In early 2005, Starf*ck started a relationship with - Sinergy Management based in Los Angeles, USA. Since then material has been dropped off at different Major Label A&R reps and US producers, therefore the band decided to change their band name from Starf*ck to Bloody April.
In january 2006 Bloody April was signed by the Swedish Label NINETONE RECORDS . The bandname - Bloody April have a history of war, and the guys wanted to create a history on their own. That's why they decided once again to change the bandname, to - April Divine.
2007 April Divine did a showcase gig for the bookingagency Live Nation - opening for the American platinum selling band Staind at a packed Nalen in Stockholm. The gig was a hit and relation with Live Nation was a fact. Their debut album was released January 29th 2007 and followed by a Sweden-tour booked by the new partner Live Nation
In the beginning of 2008 , AD recorded a cover of Seal's "Kiss From A Rose", produced by Tobbe Lindell, whom produced a grammy award winning album with the band Mustasch.
Later on April Divine signed a world wide publishing deal with Universal Publishing, and went straight over to USA in April where they recorded their second album in Atlanta by producer Rick Beato (Shinedown, Bullet For My Valentine, Dark New Day).
